Let’s make movies.
The Children’s Film Academy of Madison is a non-profit film studio, arts education group, and early professional development organization for young filmmakers.
CFAM is designed to guide young filmmakers from “I have an idea for a movie!” to a finished product they can share with the world. In a digital world, we think it’s important for young artists to have a working knowledge of the tools, skills, and platforms that allow them to share their ideas with the broadest possible audience.
And besides all that…making a movie is fun. Filmmaking is highly collaborative, and an excellent way to learn about creative expression and problem-solving.
CFAM is dedicated to being a place for creative exploration as well as an early professional development community. We want our students to feel confident walking onto sets well beyond CFAM projects. While our students will always have CFAM cheering them on, we also want to get them ready for fulfilling careers in Film and Television if they so choose.
